First part of the compilation series "MUTING THA SCENE." Featuring: SPECTRE THA ILL SAINT, DJ KLOS, AFRICA PRIME, TAIKI OZAWA, XYZ & THE ICOSAEON, THE 012, CHAITUNE, TRACKSCAN, ANATOMY OF THE HEADS, MACELLO BASSTROJANI. We are proud to present the inaugural installment of our compilation series, "MUTING THA SCENE (Part 1)." The artwork not only coincidentally evokes memories of the unforgettable Wordsound series, "CROOKLYN DUB CONSORTIUM," but serves as a deliberate homage and allusion to it. Additionally, it represents an aesthetic and musical continuation of our vinyl release, ÉMINENCE GRISE by SPECTRE THA ILL SAINT [LOWHOP066]. Hence, it's not difficult to explain why the first part of our series opens with SPECTRE THA ILL SAINT's exclusive and timeless track, "Gratitude." In addition to SPECTRE, we proudly showcase another notable artist familiar to those involved with WORDSOUND or DUBHOP - DJ KLOS. The Brazilian-born musician and media artist, now based in Lisbon, is featured with two tracks. Also contributing to this eclectic mix are the Japan-born musician TAIKI OZAWA, the South Africa and Europe-based duo AFRICA PRIME, the mysterious XYZ & THE ICOSAEON, THE 012, MACELLO BASSTROJANI - an Austrian with Japanese roots, CHAITUNE from Japan, and the formidable ANATOMY OF THE HEADS, captivating us from the dense jungles of Indonesia with their unique blend of cult rock.
